Product story
The panel is built on a wooden board, coated from a deep black ground and then sanded back to reveal the gold and vermilion beneath — the traditional lacquer method, where the image emerges by removal rather than addition.
This design is still in development: we are testing how deep the ground should go and where the sanding should stop. The dimensions given here are the intended ones.
